| Résumé | "In this paper, we compare different techniques to manufacture high-performance miniature disks of Terfenol-D aiming at self-powered IoT sensors. To reach large in-plane magnetostriction while maintaining a low driving field, microstructure engineering is essential. This work covers highly oriented, polycrystalline and hot-pressed powder materials whose performances are analyzed. An optimization of the SPS (Spark Plasma Sintering) process is also carried out. A ""performance phase diagram per technique"" is presented at the end. (C) 2018 Published by Elsevier B.V." |
